It is the panel with the device, capacitor and measuring instruments necessary to correct the power floor number of the facility. Inductive loads (motors, transformers, ballasts, etc.) also draw reactive power. It has great benefits in producing the reactive power near the point where it is needed in terms of operating the electrical system under the best conditions.
The compensation event is briefly as follows: Reactive power compensation of the reactive power needs of the electrical system and loads is called using reactive power compensation. In other definition, increasing the small power factor of a winding load to a higher value is called correction of power factor or compensation. Correction of power coefficient is approximated to Cos φ 1, but since it is not economical to make full 1, it is generally increased to 0.95-0.99.
Compensation Board Features
In the compensation system, special contactors and discharge coils are used to prevent excessive compensation currents and the capacitors are placed horizontally so that it can be cooled easily. Harmonic filter is also applied if desired. In each panel related to ventilation, heat increase is prevented by using fan-filter as required. Optionally mounted on modular fan.
There are enough shelves to accommodate capacitors. There are busbar (large power) or cable entry points from the main distribution board. In the main distribution board, a thermal magnetic switch is placed for compensation.
APEKS GROUP; It allows the selection and production of the most accurate and cost-effective Compensation Panel by preparing the panel appearance, wiring and assembly drawings without going into production. In accordance with our service and quality policy, all productions are checked and tested by our experienced engineers and technicians.
Compensation Board Materials
Compensation board materials are:
• Copper busbars
• Capacitors
• Compensation contactors
• Blade Fuses
• Reactive Power Control Relay
• Voltmeter and Cosinefimeter,
• Panel Internal Need Socket, Lamp and Insurance
Safety and Security Measures We Take as APEKS:
1. Bare parts carrying tension in the compensation board are protected against accidental touching.
2. If the parts carrying tension are not kept, at least 1 meter distance is left between the bare parts and the room boundary. If there are bare parts on both sides, the width of the space is designed as 2 meters.
3. An empty passageway of at least 90 cm is left in front of the panel.
4. Danger of death sign is hung on the panel.
5. All non-electrical metal parts of the panel are grounded.
6. The service passage behind the panel is covered with PVC.
7. The panel cage lock is kept constantly locked to prevent unauthorized persons from interfering.
